Cricket sound

Nice to find a forum of fellow ridge owners.
I have a camo 4 seat limted hvac edition.
Reason for the post. I hear a cricket sound in my unit, wvery time i use it, plus in the garage sitting there.. Does not matter if it is in park, running or not on. I hear a cricket sound. It seems like it is coming from the Garmin tread. Called the dealer and they are clueless on what it is.
Thoughts?

sounds kinda like like my camo hvac 1 seater, but i just passed off as very annoying squeaks.

So it's not sqeek. Rather a legit sound like a phone would make as a notification.

It's so random when it does it i can't.

Maybe you can disable alerts or notifications in the Garmin settings?

Give this a try.

Steps to Disable Smart Notifications

1. Open the Tread app on your paired smartphone (iOS or Android).
2. Tap the menu icon (usually three lines or "More" in the bottom right).
3. Select Garmin Devices > Choose your Tread device.
4. Go to Smart Notifications (or Notifications & Alerts > Smart Notifications).
5. From here, you can:
   • Turn off all smart notifications completely.
   • Disable specific types (e.g., calls, texts, calendar, or individual apps).
   • Adjust during-activity settings if you want alerts off only while riding.

Great idea!! Maybe a squeeky belt could make those sounds.. they are kind of funny sounding to began with.. keep me posted!!
