I just installed this rear bumper with the lights. The lights are nice and the wiring harness is of great quality with an illuminated switch. I didn’t use the switch. I connected wiring to back up beeper with the relay so they turn on when I put the unit in reverse. I do have a concern about the location of passenger side light and the exhaust tailpipe. They are in close proximity. Overall I would buy this bumper again. It’s strong and looks excellent.I am looking for suggestions on rear bumpers that have provisions for lights. So far, the KFI is leading my list. Has anyone found better?
I like how that one doesn't connect to the bed hinge like most of the others. And I can see what you mean about the exhaust being close to the light. Hopefully it doesn't cause any problemsI just installed this rear bumper with the lights. The lights are nice and the wiring harness is of great quality with an illuminated switch. I wonder if there is a tip to put on the exhaust to get it down below the bumperUpdate,
I took my Ridge out on Sunday and my wiring for the lights took a beating from the exhaust. The outer cover melted but the inner wires held up. I’ll have to flip the passenger side light upside down or attach some heat shielding.
From what I have experienced with KFI so far, they drastically lack foresight. I have their winch mount and poly plow. The winch mount is fine. The plow is mostly fine but has many things that could be betterI installed the bumper at 3 inches from the top as directed. There is clearly an issue with clearance. Love the bumper though.
