My engine braking is not working properly. Let off the gas it works great but then it free wheels for about 3 or so seconds then grabs again. It is a new belt and clutches are clean one thin shim in secondary but belt does squeal but only when first starting bike and belt is cold, ok after 1 min...

I took mine back apart to put a new belt on. Threaded the two bolts in to spread the secondary and Wellboth bolts stripped out the secondary. Thankfully the third bolt held and spread the secondary so I could get the belt off. NOW I need a new secondary. It is a crappy set up a steel bolt going...

How many miles are you getting on your ridge belts. I done well I believe on mine 2800 miles but squealing now under any load.

To stop the slipping take thin washer out of the secondary. If still slipping put thin in take out the thick. Removing the thick does make it a little harder to shift though.

I assume to straighten the rod you have to pull the full inside panel off to get at the rod correct
