Door latch issue

You know it is to bad that someone with some smarts on legal affairs would start or threaten a class action suit against Kawasaki about this. A door flying open in any vehicle is a major safety hazard and would be a recal in seconds. Is there a governing that looks into this type of thing and forces a company to correct an issue. If anyone has that info maybe we could all send in a complaint. It just may force Kawasaki to do the proper thing.

i would be ALL N, in shop twice and still not fixed, as well as the jerky motion at low speeds

well i can say this, in 4 months and 295 miles on my 2025 Camo Hvac and HAULED to 3 different Kawasaki dealerships(about 375 miles hauled), i still have the DAMN issue with doors so these shops CAN'T fix it!

You could just fix it yourself.

i might could but i also might fix it where couldn't be fixed, lol, if i could fix it myself, why can a autorized Kawasaki dealership not fix under WARRANTY? 3 of them hasn't?

The problem is the link between the outside door handle and the latch. All you have to do is make it a little bit longer by taking some of the two beds out a bit. It needs to be about a mm or 2 longer than it is.
Dealers aren't paid to fix problems. They are paid to change parts. The new parts are the same as the old parts in this case.
I did both of my doors in a little over an hour and that included figuring out the problem.
If you straighten out the link a bit and it doesn't work for some reason or it makes it worse you won't be able to tell you did anything as far as warranty.
If you want more info, let me know

It has been a few weeks and still no door popping issues. I am thinking that the hinges might need a little adjustment as well just to get an easier closing door. But I still highly recommend getting the latch to a free state by bending that link. It doesn't take much. Go a little, test fit until you get the arm resting against the latch body.
Let me know how it works for you if you do try it. T

I know this post is a little old, but wondering how your latch fix has been holding up over time. I recently traded in my 2024 Ridge (open cab) and purchased a new 2025 Ridge limited enclosed unit. However, as soon as I got it home and on the ranch roads the passenger popped to the safety latch and rattles. I have done all the adjustments that I can think of, issue still persists. I have contacted dealer (2hrs away) and they say they have never heard of this issue (It's a first)....Lol.....So, to save taking it back and waiting weeks to get it back and run the risk of it still not getting fixed, I started scouring the web and see all kinds of posts about the door issue (shocker Kawasaki doesn't know anything). Anyways, I read your posts and straighten the latch rod makes sense versus grinding on it and ruining the latch. Today, I tore it apart (pretty straight forward) and did a little straightening ( and a little testing) and thought it was good to go. Road around for a few minutes and no pop, thought it was fixed. A few hours later loaded up and headed out to go check cattle and about 3 miles out, pop, dang thing stared doing it again ( all though not as bad as previously). So wondering if I didn't straighten it out far enough or maybe it truly is a faulty latch. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks and have a great weekend.
