Door locks important to anyone with enclosed cab?

The HVAC enclosed cab models have just about everything except a means to lock a door (or all doors). The Defender has these in 2025. The technology certainly exists and has for decades even if it added $10 per door on a $40k vehicle. I know it is foreign on typical side by sides but once enclosed it would be nice to secure my man purse. 🤣 Or laptop, iPad, CCW, camera, or case of (insert your favorite beer here) without it walking off.

Any aftermarket options developed yet? I might have to design my own. I would probably do standalone electric solenoids with a key fob and a hidden switch for backup instead of redesigning the door handle/latch mechanism.

I'm definitely interested..just picked up limited crew and no door lock ,side mirrors or am/fm....a bit disappointed to be honest

I have just ran the first tank of fuel through mine and I have to say the omission of side mirrors is surprising consider this vehicle is more like a compact crew cab truck than a golf cart sized utility vehicle. Every time I back into a tight spot I go to look for my mirrors which are not there. I read that the factory models are still in production and won’t be released until later this month? Anyone have a set on pre-order? I may make an electric door lock solution rather than retrofit a key lock solution. The lack of AM/FM wasn’t even on my radar until you mentioned it. I haven’t listened to AM/FM in two decades in favor of SiriusXM and streaming content on Apple Music including pod casts and audiobooks which can all be downloaded if your journey takes you to areas without cellular coverage.
