2025 Kawasaki ridge crew standard

I got a new Ridge 3 weeks ago and it has 9 miles on it, I use it to go get the mail. We live a half mile from the box. Anyway, today it won't shift gears. Stays in low. I am going to take it to a dealer as it is under warranty, but I was just curious if this was common or what might be wrong. I am elderly and just wanted something warm and comfortable to use on my property. TY in advance for any info.

My son said if you don't have your seat belt on it is limited so apparently I have to do that, Anyway, He said it is fine.
