As the title of the post reveals, I am a new owner of a Ridge Crew XR Limited. It is still in the warehouse (hence the stock photo) needing final assembly at the dealer but I should be turning the key by the end of next week. I own a Yamaha YXZ-1000R for full-on sport use. This is my first rec/ute and first Kawasaki. I plan to use it mostly for work on large construction projects but know it will see some recreational use with my family and dog so I wanted something comfortable but still trail or desert friendly. I rode a 2024 open cab that had a pronounced “jerk” when attempting to leave from a stop as the CVT engaged. I read that the crew model has different clutching and that aftermarket options can aid this behavior. Does anyone with the crew experience a “lurch” when slowly leaving a dead stop? I considered the non-limited but when you calculate what you get in added features and what it would cost to add those aftermarket it seemed a good “bargain”. I negotiated about 12% off list without dealer markup on a new model so I was happy with that deal. I am also adding +3 years extended warranty to make 6 total years. The “newness” of HVAC in UTVs makes me think there could be some issues in a few years and a new A/C compressor might cost the same as the extended warranty. I think it has everything I could want on the vehicle from the factory but I am sure some accessories are in the future. I am hopeful for someone to perfect an upgraded shock package with adjustability in the near future after I have experienced the benefits of re-valving and re-springing the factory Fox shocks on my Yamaha. Looking forward to taking it for a spin next week. Thanks for adding me to the forum!

I own a 25 Ridge XR Deluxe standard cab. I believe a lot of the lunging or jerking was remedied with the 25 models. The only jerking I've experienced was when I let my GF drive. Solved the problem when we moved the seat up so she could fully reach the gas pedal with the bottom of her foot. Short learning curve for throttle response that you'll resolve within the first hour of use.
